SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING A Special Council Meeting was held on August 25, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. with Council President Bonar presiding. Members present were Mr. Anderson, Mr. Dixon, Mr. Perza (arrived at 5:04 p.m.), Mr. Slavin, Mrs. Williams, and Mr. Hutchison. Mr. Hare and Mr. Lynn were absent. Council staff members present were City Solicitor Rodriguez, Mr. Koenig, Mrs. Mitchell, and Mrs. McDowell. Mayor Christiansen was also present. AGENDA ADDITIONS/DELETIONS Mr. Slavin moved to amend the agenda to include an update from Police Chief Bernat, seconded by Mr. Hutchison and unanimously carried. Mr. Anderson moved for approval of the agenda, as amended, seconded by Mr. Dixon and unanimously carried. Mrs. Williams moved to recess into Executive Session pursuant to 29 Del. C. §10004(b)(4) - Legal Matters. The motion was seconded by Mr. Dixon and unanimously carried. Meeting recessed at 5:01 p.m. Mr. Hutchison moved to adjourn the Executive Session, seconded by Mr. Dixon and unanimously carried. Executive Session adjourned at 6:10 p.m. POTENTIAL ACTION RESULTING FROM THE EXECUTIVE SESSION Ward Transformer Suit - Unilateral Administrative Order (UAO) Remediation During the Executive Session, members consulted with Mr. William White of Moore & Van Allen, via conference call, regarding the status of the Unilateral Administrative Order (UAO) Remediation related to the Ward Transformer removal action cost recovery suit. Members also reviewed a draft letter to Vice President Biden seeking assistance in this matter. Mr. Hutchison moved to send the letter to Vice President Biden. The motion was seconded by Mrs. Williams and unanimously carried. By unanimous consent, the meeting adjourned at 6:10 p.m. TRACI A.
