DESIGN COMMITTEE MEETING Wednesday, September 12, 2018 – 12:00-1:00 pm CEN DEL Foundation Building Minutes I. Welcome/Call to order- Kristin Pleasanton, Committee Chair II. Roll call- Kristin Pleasanton, Tricia Arndt, Carrie Hart, Will Grimes III. Approval of Minutes- Tricia, seconded by Will IV. New Business a. New DDP Director- Welcomed Diane Laird. Diane asked if Design committee had needs for a volunteer. If so, to let her know. b. Façade grants i. Theresa Owens wants to extend her deadline again and change the paint color some the top and bottom of her windows to red. Both approved. ii. Sweets and Treats- New application 1. Part of “Unlock the Block” 2. Wants to update the front windows and door for a more contemporary look. Team went to the location to review. Diane speaking with owner of building and owner of business about options. 3. As the location is connected to another two businesses and an apartment, it was felt that whatever you do for one should be done for all to keep in line with aesthetics. All agreed the windows should not be removed for structural reasons. c. Update from Exec. Board mtg. (letter from Board President)- Letter read by group d. Mitten & Winters Mural design update i. Kristin discussed committee options with Josh Nobling and he adapted the design based on comments. Tina is showing Bill Mitten the original design for theme approval before Kristin goes back to Josh with final suggestions. V. Old Business a. Electrical boxes update- weather preventing completion of boxes right now. VI. Adjournment
