SPECIAL - ES ACTION (PUBLIC) - IBEW Contract

SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING A Special City Council Meeting was held on August 9, 2021 at 6:35 p.m. with Council President Sudler presiding. Members present were Mr. Anderson, Mr. Boggerty, Mr. Neil, Mr. Hare, Mrs. Arndt, Mr. Rocha, Mr. Taylor (arrived at 6:44 p.m.), and Mr. Lindell. Mayor Christiansen was absent. Council staff members present were Ms. Peddicord, Mr. Harline, Mr. Rodriguez, Ms. Sapp, and Ms. Ramsey. Other staff members present were Ms. Hawkins and Mr. Waddell. ADOPTION OF AGENDA Mr. Hare moved for adoption of the agenda, seconded by Mr. Anderson and unanimously carried. Mr. Anderson moved to recess into Executive Session pursuant to 29 Del. C. §10004 (b)(4) - Strategy sessions, including those involving legal advice or opinion from an attorney-at-law, with respect to collective bargaining or pending or potential litigation, but only when an open meeting would have an adverse effect on the bargaining or litigation position of the public body. The motion was seconded by Mr. Lindell and unanimously carried. The Special Council Meeting recessed into Executive Session at 6:45p.m. The Executive Session adjourned at 7:11 p.m. ACTION RESULTING FROM THE EXECUTIVE SESSION Tentative Labor Agreement - International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) During the executive session, Mr. Matt Harline, Interim City Manager, and Ms. Kim Hawkins, Director of Human Resources, reviewed the proposed tentative labor agreement for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). Mr. Anderson moved for approval of the agreement as proposed. The motion was seconded by Mr. Neil and unanimously carried. Mr. Anderson moved for adjournment, seconded by Mr. Lindell and unanimously carried. The Special Council Meeting adjourned at 7:13 p.m. JANELLA M. SAPP INTERIM CITY CLERK
