SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
A Special Council Meeting was held on January 9, 2012 at 8:14 p.m. with Council President Leary
presiding. Members present were Mr. Anderson, Mrs. Russell, Dr. McGlumphy, Mr. Lynn,
Mr. Bonar, Mrs. Williams, Mr. Hare (departed at 8:50 p.m.), and Mr. Hutchison.
Council staff members present were City Solicitor Rodriguez (departed at 8:28 p.m.), Mr. Koenig,
Mrs. Mitchell, and Mrs. McDowell. Mayor Carey was also present.
AGENDA ADDITIONS/DELETIONS
Mr. Hare moved for approval of the agenda, seconded by Mr. Hutchison and unanimously
carried.
Mr. Hutchison moved to recess into executive session to discuss legal matters, seconded by
Mrs. Russell and unanimously carried.
Meeting recessed at 8:15 p.m. and reconvened at 9:00 p.m.
UPDATE - WARD TRANSFORMER SUIT
During the executive session, City Solicitor Rodriguez provided an update on the Ward Transformer
suit.
Mr. Bonar moved to authorize the expenditure of $30,000 for a due diligence study related to
the Ward Transformer suit, seconded by Mr. Hutchison and unanimously carried (Mr. Hare
absent).
By unanimous consent, the meeting adjourned at 9:02 P.M.
