SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING - ES ACTION (PUBLIC) - Follow-Up to Appointee Evaluation-Hugg

SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING A Special Council Meeting was held on June 25, 2018 at 5:31 p.m. with Council President Slavin presiding. Members present were Mr. Neil, Mr. Cole, Mr. Polce, Mr. Hare, and Mr. Lindell. Mr. Anderson, Mr. Sudler, and Mr. Lewis were absent. Mayor Christiansen was also present. Council staff members present were Mr. Hugg (departed at 5:37 p.m.), Mrs. Mitchell (arrived at 5:38 p.m. and departed at 5:49 p.m.), and Mrs. McDowell. ADOPTION OF AGENDA Mr. Neil moved for approval of the agenda, seconded by Mr. Lindell and unanimously carried. Mr. Neil moved to recess into Executive Session pursuant to 29 Del. C. §10004 (b)(9) - Personnel matters in which the names, competency and abilities of individual employees are discussed, unless the employee requests that such a meeting be open. The motion was seconded by Mr. Cole and unanimously carried. The Special Council Meeting recessed into Executive Session at 5:32 p.m. The Executive Session adjourned at 5:50 p.m. ACTION RESULTING FROM THE EXECUTIVE SESSION Follow-Up to Council Appointed Employee Performance Evaluations During the executive session, members of Council discussed items as a follow-up to the evaluation of David S. Hugg III, Director of Planning and Community Development, on December 11, 2017. Mr. Hare moved to apply to Mr. Hugg the same salary increase for fiscal 19 as all other non-bargaining employees will receive. The motion was seconded by Mr. Lindell and unanimously carried. Mr. Neil moved for adjournment, seconded by Mr. Cole and unanimously carried. The Special Council Meeting adjourned at 5:51 p.m. TRACI A.
