SPECIAL CIVILIAN PENSION BOARD MEETING
A Special Civilian Pension Board Meeting was held on March 25, 2013 at 9:14 a.m. with
Chairman Bonar presiding. Members present were Mr. Lynn, Mr. Koenig, and Mrs. Mitchell.
Mr. Blakeman, Mr. Clendaniel, and Mrs. Hettinger were absent. Mrs. Kim Hawkins, Human
Resources Director, was also present.
ADOPTION OF AGENDA
By unanimous consent, the agenda was adopted as presented.
Mr. Koenig moved to recess into Executive Session to discuss personnel matters, seconded by
Mr. Lynn and unanimously carried.
Meeting recessed at 9:14 a.m.
Meeting reconvened at 9:17 a.m.
REQUEST FOR DISABILITY RETIREMENT - BRUCE MARVEL (In Accordance with
Chapter 2, Article IV, Division 7, Subdivision 1, Section 2-332)
During the Executive Session, Mrs. Kim Hawkins, Human Resources Director, reviewed a request
for disability retirement received from Mr. Bruce Marvel, Motor Equipment Operator III, Streets
Division.
Mr. Lynn noted that sufficient medical information had been provided to forego an independent
medical evaluation.
Mr. Lynn moved to approve Mr. Marvel’s request for disability retirement, seconded by Mrs.
Mitchell and unanimously carried.
Mr. Lynn moved for adjournment, seconded by Mr. Koenig and unanimously carried.
Meeting adjourned at 9:18 a.m.
