SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING - ES ACTION (PUBLIC) - Personnel Matters and Update on Personnel Matters

SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING A Special City Council Meeting was held on October 11, 2021 at 5:15 p.m. with Council President Sudler presiding. Members present were Mr. Anderson (arrived at 5:17 p.m.), Mr. Boggerty, Mr. Neil, Mr. Hare, Mrs. Arndt, Mr. Rocha, and Mr. Taylor. Council staff members present were Mr. Rodriguez and Mrs. Sapp. Mayor Christiansen was also present. ADOPTION OF AGENDA Mr. Hare moved for adoption of the agenda, seconded by Mr. Neil and unanimously carried. Mr. Hare moved to recess into Executive Session pursuant to 29 Del. C. §10004 (b)(1) Discussion of an individual citizen's qualifications to hold a job or pursue training unless the citizen requests that such a meeting be open, 29 Del. C. §10004(b)(6) - Discussion of the content of documents, excluded from the definition of "public record" in §10002 of this title where such discussion may disclose the contents of such documents (§10002(o)(1) - any personnel, medical or pupil file, the disclosure of which would constitute an invasion of personal privacy, under this legislation or under any State or federal law as it relates to personal privacy) and 29 Del. C. §10004 (b)(9) - Personnel matters in which the names, competency and abilities of individual employees are discussed, unless the employee requests that such a meeting be open The motion was seconded by Mr. Neil and unanimously carried. The Special Council Meeting recessed into Executive Session at 5:16 p.m. The Executive Session adjourned at 5:59 p.m. ACTION RESULTING FROM THE EXECUTIVE SESSION Personnel Matters During the executive session, members of Council were briefed on the City Clerk’s Office. Mr. Hare moved that City Council offer Mrs. Traci McDowell a temporary position, no more than six months at a rate of $53.00/hour. The motion was seconded by Mr. Rocha and unanimously carried. Mr. Neil moved for adjournment, seconded by Mrs. Arndt and unanimously carried. The Special Council Meeting adjourned at 6:01 p.m. JANELLA MAE T.
