SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
A Special Council Meeting was held on November 3, 2011 at 5:30 p.m. with
Council President Leary presiding. Members present were Mr. Anderson (arrived at 5:40 p.m. and
departed at 6:45 p.m), Dr. McGlumphy, Mr. Lynn (arrived at 5:48 p.m.), Mr. Bonar (departed at 6:47 p.m. and
returned at 7:26 p.m.), Mrs. Williams, Mr. Hare, and Mr. Hutchison. Mrs. Russell was absent.
Council staff members present were Mr. Koenig, City Solicitor Rodriguez (departed at 5:49 p.m.), and
Mrs. McDowell. Mayor Carey was also present.
AGENDA ADDITIONS/DELETIONS
The agenda was approved by unanimous consent.
Mr. Bonar moved to recess into executive session to discuss legal and personnel matters,
seconded by Mr. Hutchison and unanimously carried.
Meeting recessed at 5:31 p.m. and reconvened at 8:02 p.m.
EVALUATION OF CANDIDATE INTERVIEWS
During the executive session, members evaluated the candidates interviewed for the City Manager’s
position.
Mr. Bonar moved to select Scott D. Koenig as City Manager for the City of Dover, seconded
by Mrs. Williams and unanimously carried (Mr. Anderson and Mrs. Russell absent).
By unanimous consent, the meeting adjourned at 8:08 P.M.
