Dover Permit & Application Fee Proposal
Feedback
Board of Realtors: the proposed increases
doubled some fees, too much
Home Builders: Getting a double hit of
Contractor Licenses and Permit fees
increases.
BayHealth: Mechanical formula change
would create a ten fold increase for
Mechanical Fees for large projects.
Paj 8
Dover Permit & Application Fee Proposal
Feedback
BayHealth: Building Permit Fees should be
decreased for larger, multi-million dollar
projects
Inflation is already built into the indexed fees
for Contractors, Merchants and Manufacturers
Any fee increases should be implemented
over a 2 or 3 year period

SYNOPSIS
The proposed amendment would rescind a previous ordinance adopted by Council on
September 22, 2003 which eliminated from the Safety Advisory Committee their
responsibilities and functions that related to transportation issues and created a new standing
committee entitled T ransp ortation Review C omm ittee. By better defining and expanding the
Safety Advisory Committee, the Transportation Review Committee can be disbanded and
allow for such matters to be handled by the Safety Adv isory Committee, as has been done
in prev ious yea rs. (SPONSO RS: CAREY , SALTERS, AND W ILLIAMS)
