Play from 21:41Feb 25, 2026, Regular Council Meeting
Uh, this has been introduced before and was brought back based on questions raised by by uh zoning uh uh Mr. Kopp, and by planning uh uh Mrs. Dawn uh Nelson Williams. And as a result of the review, changes had been made and brought up to date. It is a result of a series of of problems that have resulted from uh one of our constituents in the third district who had a considerable amount of problems. We received a great deal of help by members of the uh real estate industry, notably uh Todd Stonesifer and Mr. Phil McGinnis who helped us and worked through this. Basically, if you do If you are at a day to deal and you are ready to sign that contract, once you have that lease, once you have borrowed that money, there's really no getting out. If you find out the house is not what it was supposed to be, there's literally you you are strung up, and you're in trouble. You're in a money pit, you're going to have to do all the fixing yourself. You you're stuck. And the idea behind this is to make sure that every

the dot is dotted, every t is crossed, using the methodology that the industry already has, but having a check-off to make sure that what you're getting is what you're getting. And we will have, of course, a hearing as it comes up again. Does anyone have any questions? Yes, Councilwoman Arndt.
Play from 22:56Feb 25, 2026, Regular Council Meeting
