Meeting of WEDNESDAY, August 30, 2017 The Development Advisory Committee (D.A.C.) will hold a staff meeting on WEDNESDAY, August 30, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the City Hall Conference Room of City Hall to review and comment on the following application that will be considered by the Planning Commission at its meeting of Monday, September 18, 2017. Participation in the D.A.C. meetings is limited to agency reviewers and project applicants. While the public is welcome to attend, public comment will not be accepted. The opportunity for public comment will be available at the Planning Commission meeting. 1) MI-17-02 Text Amendments: Zoning Ordinance, Article 5 and Article 6 - Review of a series of Text Amendments to the Appendix B: Zoning Ordinance, Article 5 – Supplementary Regulations and Article 6 – Off-Street Parking, Driveways and Loading Facilities. The proposed Ordinance updates various sections in order to enhance the flexibility of the code in several areas, including dumpster requirements, screening and buffer requirements (Arterial Street Buffer and Opaque Barrier), tree planting requirements, and curbing requirements. The proposed Ordinance also adds requirements for recycling to Article 5, Section 6 and rewrites Article 5, Section 18 – Sidewalk requirements to address pedestrian, bicycle and multi-modal access requirements and to allow the City to require multi-use paths instead of frontage sidewalks under specific circumstances. It is anticipated that the following dates will be scheduled: First Reading before City Council, August 28, 2017; Public Hearing before the Planning Commission, September 18; and Public Hearing and Final Reading before City Council, October 9, 2017. Please be reminded that the Applicant Development Advisory Committee meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the City Hall Conference Room of City Hall, 15 Loockerman Plaza, Dover. Please plan to attend this meeting as well.
