SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING - ES ACTION (PUBLIC) - Potential Land Acquisition

SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING A Special Council Meeting was held on May 13, 2019 at 8:21 p.m. with Council President Hare presiding. Members present were Mr. Sudler, Mr. Neil, Mr. Slavin, Mr. Cole, Mr. Polce, Mr. Taylor, and Mr. Lindell. Mr. Anderson was absent. Mayor Christiansen was also present. Council staff members present were Mr. Rodriguez, Mrs. Mitchell, Mr. Hugg, and Mrs. McDowell. ADOPTION OF AGENDA Mr. Lindell moved for approval of the agenda, seconded by Mr. Cole and unanimously carried. Mr. Sudler moved to recess into Executive Session pursuant to 29 Del. C. §10004 (b)(2) - Preliminary discussions on site acquisitions for any publicly funded capital improvements, or sales or leases of real property. The motion was seconded by Mr. Lindell and unanimously carried. The Special Council Meeting recessed into Executive Session at 8:21 p.m. The Executive Session adjourned at 8:37 p.m. ACTION RESULTING FROM THE EXECUTIVE SESSION Potential Land Acquisition During the executive session, Mrs. Donna Mitchell, City Manager, reviewed the information provided during the May 8, 2019 Executive Session related to the potential land acquisition. Mr. Slavin moved to approve the actions recommended by the City Manager regarding the potential land acquisition, all of which are contingent upon the successful completion of the due diligence. The motion was seconded by Mr. Cole and unanimously carried. Mr. Sudler moved for adjournment, seconded by Mr. Neil and unanimously carried. The Special Council Meeting adjourned at 8:39 p.m. TRACI A.
