Re: Annual Vacant Building Registration Fee Extension
Property address: 209-211 N. Kirkwood St.
Dear Sir or Madam:
Our company, ECI, is an LLC that has four rental and one vacant property located on
Queen, Kirkwood and West Street managed by two Dover, born and raised, sisters,
Deborah Fisher and Sharon Mosley. The 209-211 Kirkwood property was purchased
with the intent of demolishing and rebuilding a new rental dwelling. This area of the
City has seen tremendous growth of newly constructed homes and we want to follow
suit; however, we are small fish in the game.
We are seeking an extension of the vacant property fee for five years at $750/year to
allow time to research and acquire the financing needed to demolish and rebuild.
Currently, we are employed full-time (music teacher, budget administrator) with plans to
retire in the next two years. After retirement we will devote full-time to this endeavor.
All of our rentals are old, require on-going repairs and at some point need to be fully
renovated or reconstructed.
As a small, minority, women-owned business, we are interested in finding resources
available to assist us and would appreciate any guidance you can offer.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
rere 6.)(
