DDP- July Meeting Wednesday, July 14, 2021 12:09 PM • Roll Call o Tina Bradbury o Kristin Pleasanton o Will Grimes o Jennifer Gunther o Dawn Melson- Williams o Laura Parks o Matt Harline o Carrie Hart • Approval of June minutes o Lost o Approved by Carrie Hart and Will Grimes o In future, minutes will be recorded by round robin of attendees. • Façade Grants o Tina will be moving FY21 money to FY22 (making an amendment to Finance) in order to support all grants. Diane will find more money for grants, if needed in the FY22 year. o Façade 329-331 W. Loockerman (revisited) • Siding that looks like wood approved by DMW, will be painted blue

• Approved by Matt Harline, seconded by Dawn Melson Williams / Will Grimes and Seconded by Laura Parks • All in favor • Tina checking with Diane on how much we can offer. $5,000.00 o Access Dental (revisited from last time) • Much seems to be maintenance (landscaping and parking lot), rather than improvements • Also adding a white vinyl fence • They received a grant from DDP prior for signage • Approved by Will Grimes and Seconded by Laura Parks • All in favor o Mr. Otis- New Street • Would like to do new signage (window and door) • May have to upgrade door, due to code • Fence and sign permits approved • Tina will check the fence- see if it is up already. • Motion to approve with or without the fence. Asking for the fence to be stained in the letter. Approved as is by Will Grimes and Seconded by Laura Parks • All in favor o People's Church (2 projects)- Stained Glass • No permit in place as of yet • Question- in future do we exclude DDD from process? People's Church was excluded by DDD bc they do not pay taxes and not a commercial property. • Church and Community Center are on the same property

Limit to brightness/ timing on sign set (12-5ish) • Asking for $5,000 for sign • Approved by Will Grimes and Seconded by Jennifer Gunther • All in favor, expect Dawn who abstained o Tresses • Asking $2,095.00 for help with awning and signs (DMW said they had not gotten permits yet) • Dawn expressing concerns about funding half of signage when business can move and the sign would not be needed. Tina suggested revisiting concern and changing requirements at next meeting and Kristin seconded • Approved by Will Grimes and Seconded by Laura Parks • All in favor • Vacancy Window Clings o None • New Business o Will shared photos of the kids painting an electric box downtown. o Mayor is presenting them with certificates Monday.
