SPECIAL COUNCIL - ES ACTION (PUBLIC) - Personnel

SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING A Special City Council Meeting was held on October 25, 2021 at 5:15 p.m. with Council President Sudler presiding. Members present were Mr. Anderson, Mr. Boggerty, Mr. Neil, Mr. Hare, Mrs. Arndt, Mr. Rocha, and Mr. Taylor. Mayor Christiansen was also present. Council staff members present were City Solicitor Rodriguez and Mrs. McDowell. ADOPTION OF AGENDA Mr. Neil moved for adoption of the agenda, seconded by Mrs. Arndt and unanimously carried. Mrs. Arndt moved to recess into Executive Se ssion pursuant to 29 Del. C. §10004 (b)(6) - Discussion of the content of documents, exclude d from the definition of "public record" in § 10002 of this title where such discussion may disclose the contents of such documents (§10002 (l)(1) Any personnel, medical or pupil file, the disclosure of which would constitute an invasion of pe rs onal privacy, under this legislation or under any State or federal law as it relates to personal privacy and 29 Del. C. §10004 (b)(9) - Personnel matters in which the names, competency and abilities of individual employees are discussed, unless the employee requests that such a meeting be open. The motion was seconded by Mr. Anderson and unanimously carried. The Special Council Meeting recessed into Executive Session at 5:15 p.m. The Executive Session adjourned at 6:23 p.m. ACTION RESULTING FROM THE EXECUTIVE SESSION During the executive session, City Solicitor Nicholas Rodriguez briefed members of Council on pending litigation. M r. Hare moved to join as a Participating Delaware Subdivision under the ROADS M AP Agreement. The motion was seconded by Mr. Boggerty and unanimously carried. Mr. Anderson moved for adjournment, seconded by Mrs. Arndt and unanimously carried. The Special Council Meeting adjourned at 6:23 p.m. TRACI A. McDOWELL CITY CLERK
