SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
A Special Council Meeting was held on February 27, 2012 at 4:50 p.m. with Councilwoman
Williams presiding in the absence of Council President Leary. Members present were Mr. Anderson,
Mrs. Russell, Dr. McGlumphy, Mr. Lynn, Mr. Bonar, Mr. Hare, and Mr. Hutchison.
Council staff members present were Mr. Koenig, Mrs. Mitchell, Mr. Johnson, and Mrs. McDowell.
Mayor Carey was also present.
AGENDA ADDITIONS/DELETIONS
The agenda was approved by unanimous consent.
Mr. Bonar moved to recess into executive session to discuss legal matters, seconded by
Mr. Hare and unanimously carried.
Meeting recessed at 5:33 p.m., reconvened at 8:55 p.m., and adjourned at 9:30 p.m.
CALPINE PROJECT UPDATE
During the executive session, Mr. Kirk Betts, Betts & Holt, LLP, provided an update on the Calpine
project.
Mr. Bonar moved to retain Mr. Betts as legal counsel for the Calpine Project, seconded by Mr.
Anderson and unanimously carried.
Mr. Hare moved for adjournment, seconded by Mr. Anderson and unanimously carried.
