RE: Increase in administrative fee to manage the American Rescue Plan Act
(ARPA) funding Round 2 proposed recommendations
Community Development staff is proposing an administrative fee increase of $4,000 to manage
the six (6) proposed ARPA funding grant requests with the continuation of the management of
the nine (9) previously approved ARPA grants awarded in Round 1 in April of 2022 for a total
of 15 individual grants.
The previously approved administrative fee included an annual payment of $6,000 for up to 60
months from October 27, 2021, through December 31, 2025. The proposed increase of $4,000
would increase the annual payment to $10,000 and would expire on December 31, 2026, which
is the deadline for the expenditure of grant funds.
The funding for the administrative fee will come out of the ARPA budget. I am flexible and will
work with the city to address schedule modifications or any timeline changes in a mutually
acceptable manner.
