Please accept this as a formal request for an appeal and dismissal regarding code violation case #24-00004891. First I would like to thank and commend your employee, Ashley.
Ashley has helped guide me in this appeal process and tenaciously reach out to remind me to stay on task. Now for the matter at hand. The used tire on our property is being
used to anchor our auxiliary trash receptacle to ensure that the bin stays in place during our occasional high winds. We have maintained this set up for nearly 20 years without
water accumulation or any incidents. Why, in our senior years this is to be an issue, is perplexing. We are tax paying, law abiding citizens yet this is the 2nd citation we have
received within 2024 regarding something on our property that does not hinder or endanger the public or us. I am an inactive Delaware Cooperative Master Gardner due to
disability but I am well aware of measures to take to avoid leaving standing water on our property to avoid mosquito accumulation. With that being said please dismiss this code
violation and help us at Mallard Pond have speed bumps and cameras put up near the Greentree and Kenton Roads intersection so we can catch whoever keeps stealing carts
from the Greentree shopping center Redner’s. Thank you for your time and consideration. My husband, John and I will keep and eye out for your decision.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Alicia Young and John Young, Jr.
