PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT
SPECIAL BOARD RETREAT
The Capital School District Board of Education will convene for an in-person Retreat on Tuesday, August
12, 2025 in the Conference Room located at the Home2Suites by Hilton, 222 S. DuPont Highway, Dover,
DE 19901. The board will begin open session at 8:30 a.m. The purpose of the Retreat is to discuss and
plan the Path Forward, Proposed Vision and Goals, Board Meeting Topics/Focus, Strategic Planning and
Goal Setting, AI Initiatives, and Operations. The Retreat is expected to conclude at approximately 4:30 p.m.
The Retreat is for planning and informational purposes only and no action will be taken by the Board of
Education at this meeting/retreat.
