Sep 10, 2026, Code Board of Appeals
Do we want to limit it to this case or do we want to limit it to do we want it to be broader and have it look at our policy? Or our code, I'm sorry.
Play from 54:47Sep 10, 2026, Code Board of Appeals
Okay. I just wanted to make sure since we sort of discussed the case, but we also discussed it in a broader context.

Thank you. Um how expensive would it be to put up a 25-mph speed limit sign and a children at play sign or whatever language the signs for kids have? Um, because I've seen those in different neighborhoods to encourage people to slow down. And it seems to me to be a rather inexpensive approach to this. And I agree with everything Councilwoman Arndt said.
Play from 23:23Mar 24, 2026, Council Committee of the Whole Meeting
Yes, thank you. I just think it's a very quick and inexpensive way to at least initially attack the problem.
Play from 25:17Mar 24, 2026, Council Committee of the Whole Meeting
Would it be appropriate to make a motion to put a 25 mph speed limit at the entrance to the street and then just the simple sign that he said would be $75, and another one a little further in that says caution, children at play?
Play from 30:08Mar 24, 2026, Council Committee of the Whole Meeting
I would like to make a motion to put a speed limit sign at the entrance to the development and caution children at play, or however you word word that sign, a little further in to remind people to slow down. Um soon, as soon as possible, because I think if we keep discussing this, we're not getting anywhere in terms of slowing the traffic down, and at least that'll give us a start.

I would also suggest that the attorney review it in light of, um, Councilman President, um, Neil's suggestion. Yes. Um, that we have them review it before it comes back.
Play from 1:22:01Mar 24, 2026, Council Committee of the Whole Meeting
So did he have concerns about it? I mean, I thought, um, President Neil's concerns were very legitimate, and if he's reviewed it and didn't feel there was a concern, it may be a non-issue, but...
