Thank you for recognizing me. Um, the one that uh Councilman Lewis was speaking on, uh that was only supposed to be a temporary uh type of light fixture. It was put there because we didn't have anything other than that. Have we since received the proper light fixture that should be in that space?

Thank you for recognizing me. Um, Councilman Sudler, one of the things that uh we did have a lot of discussion around, huge discussions around, was the lumens, and um we decided that that was not going to be like a a good um uh measurement and that for the purpose of this particular ordinance, it was more so just not having the light directed in a way that it's offensive. So, I think that um being able to determine like a a measurement um was a little bit um difficult to manage. So, the the language that we talked about was just to not have it facing a person's window or property.

And I happen to have children living in the city, and so that light has been cracked, so I can kind of understand where he was going with that. And there may be, uh, it spilled over unintentionally to cameras as a result of the lighting to have that feature. I agree.

I'm curious, there was something that was presented by Ms. O'Brien that was troubling to me, regarding the $45,000 that doesn't seem to have gone to a credible company. Can you share that?

Play from 2:07:05Oct 13, 2026, Council Committee of the Whole Meeting
Thank you, Madam Chair. I have a question for you, if you don't mind. And the question would be, the city, at that meeting that we had with the People's Church, we had a timber this evening. And the timber that I got back then is that we have an accord that we're going to adhere to, and we don't allow them in. I understand that you have hiccups, and and everybody does. And when we make, and when when there's an issue, then I am in agreement with Mr. Faust said, with, you know, when you open up Pandora's box, you also have to think about, we're being good stewards of the money that's already been spent. So if we've already spent and invested that money into People's Church and they're already servicing that house in an emergency capacity, then is it it's not going to change. That number is still going to be there whether they're open or not, and if we don't have the ability to get another facility open, I mean, we have We're talking about a month and a month and a week, maybe, you know, less than that, dependent on, you know, how early winter decides to to appear. Does it make sense to take the money that we've already invested, and that over, whether it be city or whether it be federal, you know, whoever's, because they can't get any funding anyway. So if this funding can take care of so that we're ready to get in there, and we can just like take up old cans from the year to try to clean up, to get things and maybe to get another agency to help to keep things, to help to keep to keep things together, and then next year, you know, we can follow, maybe the previous we've spent, that's already been cared for. Can we create maybe like another agency to to, you know, maybe put their foot on the gas and give that report, or be be in communication with a person? All that making of It would make sense to me not to take us when you've already put so much money into it at this point. I mean, and that's just that's just me. I mean, am I making sense?
Play from 2:09:48Oct 13, 2026, Council Committee of the Whole Meeting
I mean, no?
Play from 2:12:29Oct 13, 2026, Council Committee of the Whole Meeting
Okay, so the money that's being claimed for is not for the shelter?
Play from 2:12:52Oct 13, 2026, Council Committee of the Whole Meeting
That would that mean...
Play from 2:13:18Oct 13, 2026, Council Committee of the Whole Meeting
